Association for the Study of African American Life and History celebrated their 87th Annual Black History Luncheon. This years 2013 National Black History Theme: At the Crossroads of Freedom and Equality: The Emancipation Proclamation and the March on Washington. As part of their year long celebration, ASALH along with help from their long-time parnter Farmer Insurance, continue the Living Legacy Awards to honor living examples of Black American women who have made a difference in the world.
